Our Mission

We're a volunteer organization of neighborhood residents who communicate outside the confines of time to preserve, secure, and guide the character of Los Angeles' Los Feliz neighborhood through the ages.

Our board members represent six time periods between the years 1700 and 2200. Each advocates for the interests of their era while working collaboratively to make Los Feliz a wonderful place to live and visit, no matter when you may find yourself in our charming slice of Los Angeles.

How it Works

Our board members meet periodically in the Everywhen – an eternal locus outside of linear spacetime – to implement neighborhood improvement projects and discuss issues facing their communities. If this feels hard to grasp, don't worry! The Everywhen is a concept beyond the capabilities of human cognition. But that doesn't stop it from being a great place to meet!

Communication Through Time

While board members residing in our past can easily communicate with those who come after them, communication from the future is more complicated. Chronological Law prohibits nearly all information from being accessed before that information was created.

Thankfully, the Paradox Protection Agency exists to monitor communication between representatives in the Everywhen. So while representatives from a relative future would find it impossible to share stock tips, lottery numbers, or any other knowledge of future events, our board is still able to communicate effectively about official business.

The Time Charter

The LFEA is bound by the precepts of The Time Charter. Not only does this document lay out the rules for our meetings, elections, and code of conduct, but it also serves as a trans-temporal artifact that keeps human perception of time steady. Without it, some days would feel like years, others like mere minutes.

It takes the effort of every era's board member to uphold the Charter and prevent the perceptual plasticity of time. Want to help? Run for the 1952-2035 seat! →
