Eligibility Requirements
In order to qualify for election, candidates must earn the endorsement of the five sitting representatives from other time districts by completing a series of sequential location-based challenges along Hillhurst Avenue.
Candidates must be stakeholders who live in the Los Feliz community during some part of the era they’re seeking to represent. Not currently a Los Feliz resident? Don’t worry, you may be one day, so feel free to start the endorsement process now.
To expand our pool of qualified candidates, we’re now allowing (and encouraging) candidates to work as a group and earn endorsements together.
Election Day
The election is scheduled to take place in the future. If you’re reading this, you’re in the present, and the election will not have happened yet (meaning you still have time to apply). The location of the LFEA polling place will be revealed closer to the future.
How to Apply
Once you’ve familiarized yourself with our organization via the pages on this website, click below to open the endorsement portal and begin the qualification process. Each challenge will direct you to a publicly accessible location along one street in Los Feliz. Once there, you’ll follow clues to find a quarter-sized sticker with our logo hidden nearby. Simply tap your phone to the sticker (or scan its QR code) to unlock the next challenge online. Total qualification time averages 1-2 hours – though stopping to enjoy Los Feliz’ many excellent bars and restaurants is encouraged.
